Raising Funds

The entire trip is self-financed and every cent raised will be forwarded to “Amani Kids Home”. This small Tanzanian organization is located in Moshi, at the foot of the Kilimanjaro and takes care of the street children of the area. It provides them with a bed, food, education and lots of love and tries to reintegrate them with their families wherever possible. I will visit them after my climb. You can find the link to their website in my blog as well as a little video at the bottom of this page.

“Amani” means “peace” in Swahili. I truly believe that peace is something that is wanted and supported by people from all countries. That is why I am trying to find sponsors from all nationalities in the world. As the list of sponsors will get longer, I will add their flags on the “And you?”-page. I am dreaming to get the flags from all countries in the world on this page!

My objective is to raise a minimum of € 10,000! Together with my father and some friends, I am planning to organize several fund raising events. I will update this section of my blog as our plans and activities materialize.
